geschrieben von Frauke , 23. Oktober 2008, 23:48 @ AI: Thank you for your comment! We hope the English translation clarifies some stuff. @ CB: Wow, at the moment more than 8000 new readers from tgcomics (btw, thanks for linking and welcome to the new folk) and actually ONE leaves a comment. But not for some feedback about the comic itself, but only to grump about the translation. Do you have any idea how much time and effort the author has put and still puts in this comic? Is "the poor translation" the only thing worth mentioning about She !s me? Harsh words from me, but it's kinda sad that such a comment is what you get for working in your spare time (since February 2007!) on this epic story. We are open to critical opinions, but this one does not help at all. The text was translated with the support of native speakers, so it would be very helpful if you could concretize the "poorness" of it: the sense of the sentences, the choice of the words themselves, the spelling (we know that there are some mistakes in the spelling), ...? If it's so poor, would you be willing to help improving the English of the future chapters, then? ...
geschrieben von CB , 29. Oktober 2008, 01:07 Since my mother tongue is German, I am perfectly happy to read the original version, which is written properly. Relying on English native speakers gives no warranty for a good translation, since there some natives are terrible in writing their own language. I commented here in English as a follow-up to AI's commentary that is in English. Regarding the story, it is well drawn and it has interesting ideas, but I do not see yet where it is leading, so I'll have to wait how it develops. For what I saw, it insists too much on the difficulties of losing one's identity. This has little to do with becoming a girl - most everyday difficulties would be there also awakening in a different male body without a matching ID card etc. Moreover, except for the initial masturbation, the main character does not see at all the positive sides. As a man, I would be quite excited at the opportunity of discovering what it is like to be a beautiful young woman, though of course I would enjoy this more if I knew how it can be reversed. ...
